Karen just moved to Forget-Me-Not Valley and soon has a crush on rock. But everywhere they go, she hears noises...like someone's spying on them. But who could it be?

"And this is is your barn. As you can see, It's a bit shabby, but..." Takakura's voice trailed off. I just took it as the end of the tour. I started to walk away when said softly, "Karen...I just want you to know what a great man your father was." Hearing things so deep from Takakura puzzled me a bit. I turned to look at him. He just stared back. He mumbled something on the lines of, "yeah...well..." and left. I stood there, oddly. What should I have said? What could I have said. Feeling a bit guilty for acting so stupid, I walked out of the barn to brush Besse, the cow Takakura kindly gave me. It let out a small 'moo', not showing much gratitude. I understood. Probably thought I was gonna eat it. It's just going to have to learn to trust me. I continued to walk, this time in town. The town looked rather cute, small, peaceful. I was starting to like this place, the place I moved to. I saw a girl with beautiful blonde hair, nice and curly. She gave a small wave, which I found ignorant. She just held her head up and moved on. I was not ready to take this. "Excuse me!" I hollered at her. Alarmed, she turned at me. She said nothing. "I was hoping you'd introduce yourself. I'm Karen." I held out a hand for a shake. She blushed a bit and muttered, "Silly me." She shook my hand and walked off, slightly faster. I shrugged. She technically still didn't introduce herself. I kept walking. The crisp air was beautifully clean, unlike the city. You'd always smell some kind of chemical in the city. There was a large building, it looked very oriental. It said, INNER INN on it. I smiled. How cute. An inn! I hade to check it out. Any place calling it an inn instead of a dumpy cockroach-infested motel had to be interesting. I helped myself in, and dropped my mouth in shock. It was not shabby at all! Quite fancy to be true! I saw a short, rather plump lady tending at a floral vace. She looked japenese. "Morning!" I shouted. She got a starteled impression, which made her jump. "Oh, deary! Hello!" she replied, warmly. This amused me. It was my impression of a nice lady, alright! Nothing like the cold-hearted city slickers. "You must be Tony's granddaughter! Deepest pleasures! My husband, Tim told me all about your grandfather!" she exclaimed, then turning to the staircase. "TIM! ROCK! GET DOWN HERE AND MEET OUR NEIGHBOR!" she shouted at the top of her lungs, which was pretty high. A blonde kid in a sky blue shirt ran down the stairs, with a japenese man behind. They both just stood still. Ruby scowled. "Tim, this is Tony's granddaughter, Karen!" she explained. "Can't you see the resemblence?" Tim regained his outgoingness and answered, "Oh yes! Definately. His eyes, she has!" Rock's eyes stared into mine. I stared back. He was my kind of hottie. I gazed in his pool of crystal blue eyes. I slightly smiled, my eyes still fixed on him. Our moment was magical. "Hey babe. I'm Rock," he said kindly. "Why don't we uh...hit the beach?" I was surprised. Was he already asking me out? I felt my face turn pink, and nodded eagerly. We walked out, and I could hear Tim say, "That Rock. See's one gorgeous girl and he feels has to have her!"

"Just the way you won me over," agreed Ruby.

We walked down a hill, people were sort of staring. There was a buffed guy, with lots of tatooos, a pair of old men...twins, a um, hippie, and a red headed girl. Rock and I went all the way to the beach, and just sat in silence. We soon picked up on conversation, and things went great. Before I knew it, the sun had fallen and streetlights turned on. Rock looked at them, then at me and said, "Sorry, Karen. Gotta go. Let's do this again."

He got up, slowly, which made me exclaim, "Wait! Rock! How about tommorrow?" He turned to look at me. He smiled, and nodded. We walked up the hill together, and things were perfect. It was like romantic silence. While we walked, I heard a strange muffle from the bush. We both looked, and saw nothing. The bush was green, and there was some sort of red sticking out of it. "Probably a cardinal," Rock convinced me. We walked all the way to my farm, and he departed. I opened the door, jumped in bed and stared at my wooden ceiling. It was strange. I just met him today...and now I have feelings for him. Was it his charm? His looks? All I knew was that he was the cutest guy that ever walked the planet.
